Ceramic Gaskets & Sealing Materials
Delmar Company produces standard ANSI ceramic gaskets, custom ceramic gaskets, and ceramic sealing products for all industries and applications. Ceramic won’t melt or burn, and is highly resistant to a wide range of chemicals, making it an ideal material for gaskets used in harsh working environments and in temperatures as high as 2,000°F (1,093°C).
To ensure superior precision, accuracy, and repeatability, we manufacture ceramic gaskets and sealing products with a state-of-the-art Atom Flashcutter. This system can maintain tolerances as close as ±0.008”, and can cut ceramic materials as thick as 1/2”.
Working from the ANSI standards you specify or your design files (CAD, DXF, or DIE), we will create ceramic gaskets and ceramic sealing materials that meet your application and performance requirements.
Standard & Custom Ceramic Gaskets from the Experts
Thanks to its high temperature resistance, chemical resistance, and excellent wear properties, ceramic is a popular gasket material for a wide range of uses. However, it may not be the best choice for your unique needs. The experts at Delmar will work with you to ensure that we use the best, most effective, and safest materials for your custom gaskets and sealing products. Material selection is based on a number of factors—process temperature and pressure, chemical compatibility, sealing capabilities, and more.
We use a series of questions, which we call STAMPS, as a means of finding the best material and grade for your standard or custom gaskets. Please keep the following questions in mind when specifying your gaskets:
- S: Size of the gasket
- T: Temperature range the gasket must operate in
- A: Application—is it a pump? a flange? a heat exchanger? etc.
- M: Media—what will the gasket prevent from leaking?
- P: Pressure range the gasket must operate in
Safety is Our #1 Priority
Choosing the correct gasket material is extremely important for the continued safety of your operation. The wrong material can lead to gasket failure, personal injury, or worse. At Delmar Company, we do everything we can to ensure that your gaskets and sealing products are manufactured from the best material for your application.
If we’re not 100% sure that the gasket material we recommend will work safely in your application, we will guide toward the right product for your project, even if that means sending you to another manufacturer. We don’t sell products just to sell them—if we can’t provide the right material for your gasketing needs, we won’t sell you anything at all. Safety is always our first priority.
