High Temperature Exhaust Gaskets
Delmar Company is your #1 source for standard ANSI gaskets and custom gaskets for high temp exhaust applications. We manufacture high temperature exhaust gaskets from a special mineral called vermiculite. When heated, this material undergoes significant expansion, which in turn provides a tight, reliable seal in high temp environments. It also exhibits exceptional toughness, and maintains this toughness at temperatures as high as 1,800°F (982°C).
We use an Atom Flashcutter system to create vermiculite gaskets with exceptional precision and repeatability. This state-of-the-art, CNC-powered device can hold tolerances within ±0.008”, and can cut gaskets from material as thick as 1/2”.
Based on either the ANSI specs you need or your CAD, DXF, or DIE design files, we will produce high temperature exhaust gaskets that meet your exact specifications. Whether you need 100 gaskets or 100,000, each and every one will be match your design perfectly.
Standard & Custom Temp Exhaust Gaskets from the Experts
With its high temperature capabilities and toughness, vermiculite is, in most cases, the ideal material for high temp exhaust gaskets. However, it may not be the best or most effective choice for your specific application. Delmar’s expert team will work with you to guarantee that your exhaust gaskets are manufactured from the best—and safest—material for your project. Material selection is based on numerous factors: process pressure and temperature, chemical compatibility, and sealing capabilities, to name a few.
We use a series of questions, which we call STAMPS, to find the best material for the gaskets your application requires. Please keep the following questions in mind when specifying your standard or custom gaskets:
- S: Size of the gasket
- T: Temperature range the gasket will operate in
- A: Application—is it a heat exchanger? a pump? a valve? etc.
- M: Media—what will the gasket prevent from leaking?
- P: Pressure range the gasket will operate in
Safety is Our #1 Priority
Finding the right material for your gaskets is of utmost importance. If the wrong material is used, gasket failure, personal injury, or worse could occur. To prevent these mishaps, Delmar does everything in our power to ensure that we provide the gasket material that is best-suited to your specific application.
If we aren’t 100% certain that the gasket material we recommend will work safely in your application, we help you find the right one, even if that means sending your project to another manufacturer. We will never sell you a product just to make a sale—if we can’t deliver the right material for your high temp gaskets, we won’t sell you anything at all. Safety is our #1 priority.
