Standard & Custom Neoprene Gaskets
Delmar Company is a leading provider of high precision ANSI-standard neoprene gaskets and custom neoprene gaskets that are manufactured to customer specifications. With our advanced Atom Flashcutter system, we can produce even the most complex neoprene gasket profiles with tight tolerances of ±0.008” or better.
Working from your ANSI specs or your CAD, DXF, or DIE design files, we will create standard or custom neoprene gaskets that match your exact design requirements.
Neoprene Gaskets from the Experts
Neoprene, sometimes referred to as polychloroprene, is a family of synthetic rubber materials. While each neoprene elastomer is unique, in general, neoprene materials exhibit good chemical stability, remain flexible across a broad temperature range, and are highly resistant to degradation. In addition to gaskets, neoprene is commonly used to make hoses, weather stripping, sound insulation, and a wide variety of other products.
The experts at Delmar will work with you to determine if neoprene is the best material for your specific application, or if another rubber gasket material would produce better results. Material selection is based on numerous factors, such as process pressure and temperature, chemical compatibility, and sealing capabilities.
We use a series of technical questions (which we call STAMP) as a means of finding the best material for your standard or custom gaskets. Please keep the following questions in mind when specifying your gaskets:
- S: Size of the gasket
- T: Temperature range the gasket will be used in
- A: Application—is it a flange? a valve? a pump? etc.
- M: Media—what will the gasket prevent from leaking?
- P: Pressure range the gasket will be used in
Safety is Our Top Priority
Selecting the right gasket material for the job is of utmost importance. The wrong material can lead to gasket failure, equipment damage, personal injury, or worse. To prevent such an occurrence, we do everything we can to guarantee that your gaskets are manufactured from the best and most effective material for your application.
If we’re not 100% sure that the gasket material we recommend will work safely in your application, we will guide you toward the right product, even if that means sending your project to a different manufacturer. We don’t sell products just to make sales—if we can’t provide the right material for your application, we won’t sell you anything at all. Since day one, safety has been our top priority.
